MSA is formal, written Arabic, and is used in the media, literature and Quran studies. It is understood across the Arabic speaking world but is NOT spoken in daily life. You will see and hear MSA when you watch Al-Jazeera or read a newspaper. Children learn MSA at school after learning their dialect at home.

We offer Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) for all levels (Beginner - Advanced). Courses run for 8 weeks (12 hours), but can be customised to fit your schedule.

  • No prior knowledge of Arabic is required
  • Suitable for absolute beginners, non-native and native speakers
  • Taught using English transliteration or the Arabic alphabet
  • All of our courses and classes are designed to comply with the common European framework for language teaching

In order to adapt to our students' needs, we teach Modern Standard Arabic using one of two methods: using English transliteration or with Arabic alphabets.

The course reviews and reinforces previously acquired grammatical structures, and expands vocabulary through extensive practice and analysis of MSA style from literary, political, social, and economic aspects of Arab culture and language.
